What is the Political Courage Test?

Texas Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I believe a free woman is a woman who chooses life. Born Alive Act needs support in Congress. There should not be a debate on whether to keep and protect a baby that has just survived a botched abortion. Many women are dying in the name of safe abortion, time to protect women's reproductive system and the unborn. It's time to make a BOLD(Breath Of Life Defenders) stand and amend the Constitution and declare life at conception.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
This falls under the Tenth Amendment, which would be the responsibility of the states.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes Do you support increasing defense spending?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
The Second Amendment gives us the right to bear arms and shall not be infringed. Every American citizen has the right to protect their family, home and property. We will not be left defenseless to unknown circumstances, especially a tyrannical government.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
This is also an issue that should be left to the states under the 10th Amendment.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Immigration Reform is long overdue in Congress. I support legal immigration. Because Congress has neglected reforming this important legislation we have criminals, human and drug trafficking, and the potential for terrorists to enter our country. Meanwhile we have law abiding immigrants who would like to become part of America legally and are having to more than necessary.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I believe in reducing our military, but not to the point where we leave America un-safe. American soldiers are ready to go where they are needed and invited, to keep conflicts from getting out of control.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
I am for removing barriers, but most importantly we must have fair and reciprocal trade. It's time to put an end to shady deals!
My first priority would be to protect the unborn. My second priority would be to continue the job growth by working with sm. businesses and trade schools providing job skills for the people of TX18. My third priority would be to balance the budget. We keep spending funds that we don't have leaving our future with insurmountable debt. We can amend the Constitution by requiring Congress to balance the budget.
